Pomp's Double-Dip: Averaging Down on Sats and Shares in a Bold Two-Fertilizer Play

ProCap Financial, Anthony Pompliano's publicly-traded agentic finance outfit, just tossed another 450 Bitcoin into its digital vault. That bumps their total hoard to 5,457 BTC, a stack now hefty enough to rank them as the 19th largest public company clutching the orange pill. Not a bad flex for a firm that gets the double-helix nature of money.

The CEO framed this latest accumulation as a degen's dream scenario: snagging more bitcoin to lower their average entry price while simultaneously buying back their own undervalued stock. In Pomp's own words, it’s like "buying bitcoin to average down our total cost basis and buying back our own stock when the market misprices it." A true two-for-one special, where both items in the cart are different flavors of "on sale."

He gave a nod to their "disciplined balance sheet," the financial equivalent of keeping your powder dry, which allowed them to go bargain hunting during Bitcoin's recent cooldown from its euphoric peak. And on that stock buyback front, ProCap didn't just dip a toe—it repurchased a whopping 782,408 of its own shares over the past ten days.

The company grabbed those shares at what it cheekily calls a "significant discount" to its net asset value (NAV), which is finance-speak for buying a dollar bill for eighty cents. They noted that discount is already beginning to squeeze and promised to keep the buyback printer humming as long as the shares trade below what they believe they're intrinsically worth. When the market offers free alpha, you take it.

In the wild, speculative frontier of early pre-market trading, shares of BRR twitched with some tentative green candles. Over in the other arena, Bitcoin was holding the line above $66,000. A necessary later footnote clarified that any juicy percentage gain touted for BRR should be viewed through the lens of "extremely thin volume," a classic caveat for moves that happen while most normies are still hitting snooze.
